Ignite Youth at “Club 51” on 51st St & Wentworth Ave
On any given night at 51st and Wentworth, an outdoor haven for adults experiencing homelessness, you will find Ignite staff and youth creating community and giving back - as our youth put it, “we’re out helping our friends”.
Lovingly referred to as Club 51 by the community of volunteers and residents, our youth and other neighborhood volunteers not only share a meal with their friends; they dance, talk, laugh, and build connections.
Belfort House youth have also helped to ensure the evenings are a bit warmer by providing support and supplies. But most of all, Club 51 is a reminder of how deeply we all need to feel cared for, remembered, and be part of something bigger than ourselves.
