Community Programs’ “Day of Action” Helps Those in Need During Pandemic
Ignite’s Community Programs team is taking an active role in helping others in the community during the pandemic through a “Day of Action” twice a month. As part of this day, the Community Program’s caseworkers set up a table and signs at 47th & Wabash and distribute food, snacks, water, hygiene products, and information about Ignite and our services. According to Ignite’s Assistant Director of Community Programs, Nena Washington, the “Day of Action” has given “each team of caseworkers a chance to experience a day of service. The response has been great! Depending on products and food supplies, we’ll determine if we’re able to keep up this day of service after the pandemic.”
